One thing I don't understand is the following.

If you are doing the show for publicity wouldn't it make sense to use your normal stage name? How is it publicity if they cant even search for you on the internet after watching? Seems like the only publicity you could get was at the actual show with audience members you talk to afterward.

Had I not known Danielle's real stage name I would have probably searched hopelessly for "shemale maury" or "shemale Twilight". Never finding the person I was looking for. Seems like a waste of time.

This poll is about appearing on one of these shows, and I'm not going to judge people cuz I've never been on a talk show, I've never even been asked. I have to say if the poll were, "which is worse, watching Maury or watching porn?", I'd say Watching Maury is worse. Porn makes you horny. TV makes you stupid.

I'm not saying porn is a good thing, but at least, most often the girls are looked at as women "with a twist", keeping them in the female, and more importantly, human aspect of things. Also, if someone's into tporn, they're generally comfortable with their own 'quirk' to not want to degrade, or worse, harm any of the girls out there.

You do make a good point but I don't think you can compare TG on Maury to TG on the Springer show. They get ridiculed from the moment they step on stage on Springer and they are also subjected to fights and all that shit.

I don't think doing either will make being a TS somehow more acceptable in wider society. If you really want to get respect, get into politics or something or get into the media in things that have nothing to do with sex or being on programmes where most of the audience would fit in well in a zoo. Music, or journalism for instance.

But you know everyone needs to support themselves financially, in the past I did some stuff I'm not proud of to earn a crust. I don't judge no one for either going on these shows to enhance their profile or taking their clothes off for money.Because I know being a TS is a pretty hard wicket. But I don't see why someone should be slagged off for doing what they have to do.Providing they are not hurting anyone.
