Why do porn stars change their names?

When looking for a performer or model it sometimes gets tuff to find what movies she has done or maybe new pictures.

sometimes they get tired of the name they had, or it dont quite sit right into the niche ...usually you find this with model and escorting ..

Also if the model has been away a long time, reinvented themselves especially in the trans niche... To be honest i was quite close to changing my name once i started my hormones / had my implants, fixed my hair ....as I felt there is more TV content of me on the net at present than transsexual as Liberty... But then i thought its good for people to see where you have come from ..but i do know models that had 1 name as a TV, then when they are further in Transition they relaunch with a new name / look .
