The clip most likely was drug up by the evangelicals - the ones who believe they'll be raptured. I really don't know either, but he implemented a policy program named "Bolsa Familia", State pays up two hundred real to every selected porr family (theoretically at least, but we can find people who do not need), which translates, in reality, into buying votes. That's the reason he is president.

1. They don't believe they are better than anyone else. This is a common misconception among non-believers.
- they believe that ALL have sinned and fallen short of the standard that a perfect God sets, including believers. That's why they subscribe to a saviour who died for their wrongs and made them friends with God, even though they don't deserve it. It is freely offered to all - there's nothing you need to do to accept it. Just believe it and start living it.

2. They don't believe they are going to be raptured BECAUSE they are better than everyone else.
- bad times are coming in the very near future, some think within the next few years. The rapture is a temporary relocation with two purposes: to remove the believers from the warzone when the shit hits the fan; and to get them out of the way so they won't interfere with the progress of the war (by praying against the antichrist etc).


Oh, and no, I don't think Obama is the antichrist. I don't think it is anyone who has yet figured significantly in world politics. But it is probably someone who is alive today and is yet to emerge. IMO

Honestly, the lust issue does bother my conscience. I'll admit that.

Good question, by the way, but by asking it you are still hinting that you seem to think that I THINK the only way to become acceptable to God is to become perfect and stop doing anything remotely immoral.

I don't think that.

To be totally frank, this action, if it is wrong, is no worse than any other thing that I have done wrong in my life, and believe me when I say I have done far worse things.

However I don't think this act itself (of being a member of this site) is all that bad...any more than going to the pub and having a drink is, which I do on a regular basis. I'm not actually participating in sex with anybody here, not even virtually or metaphorically. It's just communicating and sharing points of view with people, and some harmless flirting too. I am not currently in a relationship, so I am not cheating anyone, either. If I was in a relationship I probably wouldn't spend time here.

To answer your question the best I can, my only hope, realistically, is to be forgiven for ALL the wrong things I've done, including this if it offends God. That's my hope. Not becoming perfect, because THAT will never happen in this lifetime.
