    Miles Davis quintet of the mid 50s, with John Coltrane, Red Garland, Paul Chambers and Philly Joe Jones. First, My Funny Valentine, then, A Night in Tunisia with the addition at the base of a drunken Oscar Pettiford (so the story goes). You can hear it on the tube. But it gives the tune such a strange, beautiful ring to it.
