How can you people ignore ...
Real story, real author, history and the best soundtrack of any vampire movie.

I must also put in a plug for Near Dark, an awesome movie. The bar room brawl between the vampires and the bikers was a classic.

Has anybody seen The Forsaken? It's as if they tried to modernize Near Dark. Oh and they shelved the remake of Near Dark.

These are my favorites, although I do also like the blade series, Vampires (Carpenter's), Nosferatu (the 1922 version, very camp but fun) and Dusk till Dawn.
A lot of crappy Vampire movies have been released, and some are just plainly dull and bear no originality (sorry), namely Queen of the Damned -although the soundtrack is fantastic- and that teeny sugar coated one, Twilight.
Forsaken, I had heard a lot of good stuff about it, and I forgot to actually go and see it. Gonna download this right away.
Purgamentum verbatim ad nauseum...

Queen of the Damned changed alot from the book. Supposedly The Tale of the Body Thief is gonna be made one day. I haven't read those books in years. I liked 30 days of night , and in Lost Boys 2 they could have made it clearer that the brother and sister protagonists were Michael and Stars children.
