Being taken seriously has nothing to do with genitalia or sexual identification, IMO.
There are TGs out there in the real world who command much respect, and those who don't.

Now if you mean taken more seriously as a woman, maybe having a vag helps for some men, just be aware that some dudes will still have problems recognizing you as a real 'girl' no matter what.

If it is what you want, I mean really want and you are doing it for yourself and not for someone else, then do what it takes to make you happy.
However, if this is something you only think you want, I would seek out and talk to those who went through the procedure.

Why do TS girls think they need a pussy to be taken seriously? You just need to stop hanging out at strip clubs and places where guys pick up escorts
