Re: A taste of Scottland ...... Kirsty Scott's Intro
[QUOTE=robertlouis;913039
By the way, I've worked in Aberdeen and on the rigs, and it's far too cold at almost any time of year to be running around with so few clothes on - a lassie could catch her death....[/QUOTE]
Shhhhhh! Don't tell her that!

Re: A taste of Scottland ...... Kirsty Scott's Intro
Thought I'd post some pics of Aberdeen (thanks google images -- ha! ha!). I've never been. But my maternal grandmother is of Scottish descent. It looks like an interesting place.
Scotland seems to be the place to go to to avoid the hubbub of England -- ha! ha! (I've been to England. It's a nice place. The people, I found, were very friendly. Albeit it is surprising that 50 million people are packed into such a small country. The bulk, of course, live in London.
Texas, for instance, is 5 times the size of England but has half the population.)

That first photo must be Aberdeen in a heatwave!
Scotland is around 30% of the UK landmass but has a population of only 5 million - and that's largely concentrated in the central belt, the old industrial heartland between Edinburgh and Glasgow. The population of Greater London is around 20 million.
So head for Scotland, for open space, midges, deep-fried everything and fucking dreadful weather.
That's why I'm in East Anglia.
