I don't normally do these sort of threads ... but just in case it gets missed ...
Molly Sugden aka Mrs. Slocombe from "Are You Being Served" died today aged 86 in the UK.
I hadn't seen the show since the early 80's until I moved to the USA and it's still getting re-run (along with Benny Hill) - no wonder most American's don't get my British humour, unless they have BBC America or HBO.
However dated this show was, it will always be a classic.

I've never brought up this show in conversation. It's just nobody knows about it. How does an 11 year old kid relate a show like "Are You Being Served" to his friends who were probably not even born with the show first air. This show is why I donate to PBS, classic British comedy. RIP Miss Slocombe. I wonder how Miss Brahms looks now.

When I was a freshman, the only channel we could get in the dorm was PBS so we watched AYBS every night.
