What are the weirdest or whackiest movies you have ever seen
My selection would include the following....freddy got fingered, gummo, bad boy bubby and Donnie Darko.
What do you think was so weird it bamboozled you and wowed you with its extreme antics

I thought Donnie Darko was overhyped and kind of pretentious
Can't wait for Chris Cunningham to make a feature though, just watch Come to Daddy or Rubber Johnny (maybe even All is Full of Love) and you'll se why I'm excited.

Eraserhead
Strangest (and at times funniest) movie I've ever seen. It launched David Lynch's career. He wrote/directed Dune, Wild at Heart, Blue Velvet, and his masterpiece, The Elephant Man, plus the strange TV series Twin Peaks, before his career petered out.
But Elephant Man is one of the greatest films of all time, and despite being a conventional narrative, lots of the strange techniques in it are already visible in Eraserhead.

Interesting thread....
"Kissed" with Molly Parker (1996)
If you read the premise, i.e. girl who goes to work in a funeral parlor and starts having sex with the dead corpses, you'll probably run away, but you'll miss a good movie. As bizarre as it is, the filmmaker makes a really fascinating movie. The necro-sexual element is more or less a vehicle in which to explore people's wide view of sexuality. Parker is fantastic.
