A night in Miami -- Unbelievable Fun!
OK, I asked for some tips about what to do in Miami and I got no responses.
Well I went and had a BLAST! Want to share for those of you who might be visiting Miami any time in the near future.
What a city. I did the typical tourist thing and went to Southbeach. No one told me that Miami has a nightlife that lasts into the next day. No last call at 2 or 3 AM. In Southbeach it goes until 5, and after that you can go to downtown where clubs are still going well into Sunday. I'm not talking about underground or speak easies. These are real legit clubs.
I started my night at Twist which was the only club anyone on this board recommended. I thought it sucked, though. Gay club with a few transvestites, but no real "girls." I was ready to leave around 1:30 when I met a lovely t-girl and bought her a drink. She suggested that we go to a real club in downtown. The place was called Disotekka. It was open until 11 AM the next day. Beautiful mixture of gay, lesbian, straight, and transsexual. The only thing they all seemed to have in common was they were all Cuban. Sickeningly Beautiful best describes this crowd. Not an ugly person in the club except for me. All the guys were in great shape. All the girls were lovely. And of course, Miami lives up to it's stereotype / reputation when it comes to the availablity and use of coke. I have never seen anything like that in my life. Even though I don't do coke I probably would if I lived in Miami and tried to keep up with that nightlife. Truth is I would probably be dead and broke in no time from partying so much. If you ever go to Miami I highly recommend this club. Didn't get back to my hotel until 8 am.

Level and Space from 2000-2003 were ridiculous. Will never forget those nights and mornings.
