I think most types of music run their course and rap is no exception. What you get nowadays is mostly watered down or commercialized. I can't remember the last time I was blown away by a new rap album. Nothing wrong with sticking to the old school stuff though!

Every generation goes through that. I'm sure if you were 21 during the early 90's, you'd feel nostalgic for 80's R&B.

    It's called 'getting old'. lol

i STRONGLY disagree with you Dirky.... i'm open minded to all music new and old, and although the old shit does have a nostalgic effect its not at all why i feel the new rap is doo doo.... also rock, hard rock, country has all been goin strong for decades

I don't think rock and country are in great shape these days either. In fact, most of what passes for new music is dismal compared to what came before.
