For some guys shows like Maury and others were the first exposure to TS. I know years ago I saw my first TS on the Maury show and I been hooked ever since.

So that makes it OK? And haven't there also been transsexuals on Donahue, Oprah, Tyra, and 20/20 (to name a few) that didn't have to be mocked in order to be featured? I don't understand why so many people think that there's no better exposure for transsexuals than Maury or Springer. Excepting a few people who occasionally watch as a (knowingly) guilty pleasure, I personally would prefer to not be exposed to their target demographic.

Nah it doesn't make it okay. I was just saying that some guys first exposure are through shows like that. Although it doesn't make it right. In what other media besides porn are the general public expose to transsexuals?

I do agree with you that by going on those kind of shows, it does not help the TS community.

I still don't understand why the girls here, who fight so hard to be seen as girls are so willing to appear on his boy? girl? exploitation shows. The willingness to be laughed at, ridiculed, etc. seems contrary to the goals of the TG community. After all of these shows that MP has done in exploitation of the girls, there should be a refusal to appear, unless he does a serious piece where the girls can appear and voice their concerns and goals for society as a whole in acceptance of the TG lifestyle.
