what about "block ip's" for dial-up connections? aren't there some numbers that are ip's for a whole group of homes?

When connecting to the Internet, your home computer (or network router) is assigned a public IP address. FYI-Firefox has a little IPhider called switchproxy. google it. At the same time it does not entirely hide your IP still searchable.
