Is anybody using this ? I mean besides people updating me with what they had for lunch is there any other benefits to using twitter. Isn't similiar to just text messaging your friends ? Anyone using twitter like it and why ?

he's on it all day with his over-indulged friends.. says myspace got too ghetto
