Those before me have said it's all about money, and psychological need. I haven't escorted since last August. I did it because I needed the money. I had some student aid money but really it is not enough to live in Chicago in any kind of independent way. I used the money I made to pay the bills, and build up my credit rating so that I could borrow what I needed to get work done. I got implants and I am finally getting braces, neither of these things are cheap. Now I need to pay that money back so guess what I'll probably be doing sooner or later.
I did get a mental boost out of having someone be willing to pay for me and then pay again and again.
So when would I stop and rule escorting out for good? When I can get a really good job that will actually pay my bills.

JamesJone:
There is a common myth that escorts and the profits derived from (as well as any other, well shall we say "criminal" activity), are not taxed nor can such proceeds be saved nor invested, which is not totally true, at least in the United States.
The IRS and tax laws are set up to collect tax on income, regardless of how it is earned. Remember Al Capone went to prison for failing to pay taxes.
Many escorts simply call themselves something else and declare all (or part), of their income, and pay taxes accordingly. Without tax payments one cannot purchase a home, a car, invest, save or any other transaction that goes over the cash reporting limits set up by the federal government.
Try showing up to purchase a house with 500K or even 25K in cash, and see where that gets you.
Some escorts also accept credit cards, which certianly involves bank accounts and reporting, thus one pretty much as to file a tax return.
Two problems however come to mind at once:
One, being a "cash" business, escorts face a greater chance of being audited (the IRS has a thing for all cash businesses).
Two, there is a fine line to walk so one cannot be accused of money laundering, but any number of good attorneys can advise on that matter.
Just for the record, escorts one knows who advertise on Eros.com and Exotics.com get calls and or emails from stock brokers all the time. Considering where they got their phone number/information it is a sure thing that they know what time it is, and probably have dealth with such things before.

well unless you're pointing toward a goal, like getting enough money for surgery, maybe its like Brett Favre...go until they don't pay you anymore..
Once they stop calling, you stop escorting because there's no one to escort..
Wonder if there are escorts in their 60s or 70s?

WHEN THE WOMAN U LOVE LOOKS IN THE MIRROR AND SAYS IM DYING INSIDE DAY BY DAY. THEN YOU SAY STOP BABY. SHE SAYS U DONT UNDERSTAND IT CHANGES YOU IN WAYS U CAN IMAGINE. IS THIS ALL I AM? THE THINGS I HAVE DONE ARE BURNED IN MY MEMORY FOREVER. MAYBE THIS IS A GOOD TIME TO GET OUT. WHAT DO YOU THINK GIRLS. BECAUSE WE ARE BOTH DYING A LITTLE EACH DAY.
