NYC ???
OMG... Super Excited
Im going to NYC, mid next month. Never been, and have heard soooo many things about it. Im really looking forward to it. Ill be there from, wednesday to sunday. Just wanted to see if any of you, had any suggestions on things to do?! I want to walk around, site see, shop, maybe hit a club or two, and hopefully go to one of the NYC parties that I see on here. 
So if any of you, have suggestions on straight venues (clubs), bars, must sees, shopping, etc. Please let me know.

I remember the first and last time I went to NYC.
If you go to one of the parties that are advertised here on HA they will know you and welcome you, and it's really cool to get to meet some of the people you have see online.
If you want to see as much of the tourist sights of the city as possible, as easily as possible, there are these double decker tour busses all over the place in times square. For something like $30 $40 you can spend the day, for I think like 3 days taking the various tours, and learning NYC history.
I did not get the see the statue of liberty. Wish I had.

Aww you're probably going to miss Fleet Week (18 May 2009 - 25 May 2009), but there are plenty of other things to do. Maybe some 5th Av window shopping, you'll probably want to check out the village, etc.. Maybe take a poke around Broadway, but it's sort of a tourist trap. It all really depends on what you want to get out of your vacation, as there is way more here then you could possibly see or do in a week.

If your planning on doing the "tourist" thing you should look into buying tickets online. They recommend that you make reservation if you want to visit the Statue of Liberty. The link below explains
