It's an unfortunate situation here. The venerable Club 7969 which was the main TS hot spot for decades was sold last year and closed.

The Queen Mary which was also a transgender hot spot for decades was closed a few years ago.

It's great that Leslie got Cobra going.

That's been brought up to me many times, but I don't see myself as a club promoter. Possibly if a good promoter wanted to do something with me, I might entertain the idea. But in general I don't want all the headaches that go with running a club.

And to be honest, the girls (for a large part) won't support a transgender club unless they can prostitute out of it. I'm not saying that's a bad thing; it's just the way it is. And with that comes other problems from government and law enforcement.

Hollywood's nightlife has somewhat gone down a bit, not sure why. Maybe its because they all play the same music I guess, not that I have a problem with that, its what I spin

Downtown is gaining some steam and has none of the "in" crowd kinda overhang that's in Hollywood.

As for TG nightspots, its been going down hill since the 80's if you ask any "old timers"

Gay clubs are loaded, you can't say the same for TG specific clubs. Haven't been to Cobra and frankly, if its anything like 7969 where its loaded with providers and porn stars, I think I'll pass. Eye Candy is one thing but I've had my fill of Eye Candy. Queen Mary was uneven, you could tell who the providers were, they were the best looking...

I heard about a spot near down town that seems to be kind of seedy but a decent pick up spot and also a fairly popular place out deep behind the "Orange Curtain"

If girls want to work out of clubs, and a club owner wants to have events like that, the closing at 2AM is actually an advantage rather than a disadvantage. In NYC, I wonder why the girls think that guys who have money to spend on hookers tend to go out on Tuesday nights between 1AM and 4AM?

If you want to run an event for TS hookers and tricks, you have to go where the tricks are (or in this case when the trick are. As someone who throws events exactly for that purpose I can tell you I start mine at 6PM when the guys get out of work and before their "curfew".
