    Default Where were you?

He may not have been everyone's cup of tea, but Kurt Cobain was a big part of my music growing up. Seems as though my local station (and I'm sure others) is doing a lot to remember the day he shot himself..

Do you remember where you were? Not exactly JFK...but..

I had listened to Smells Like Teen Spirit in highschool...but really listened to them when I moved out on my own for the first 6 months. My roommates and I used to spend late nights listening to Sabbath and Nirvana. One was a huge fan.

I moved to Vancouver in 1994 and shortly after setting up there I heard it on the news. Quickly wrote my ex roommate after hearing it.

I write this because I'm listening to the black greatest hits album now.

In the car, the radio station interrupted with the bad news.

I was 15 hanging out with my brother in front of a friend and his sister's store..when it came over the radio...everything just got quiet.
