Where were you?
He may not have been everyone's cup of tea, but Kurt Cobain was a big part of my music growing up. Seems as though my local station (and I'm sure others) is doing a lot to remember the day he shot himself..
Do you remember where you were? Not exactly JFK...but..
I had listened to Smells Like Teen Spirit in highschool...but really listened to them when I moved out on my own for the first 6 months. My roommates and I used to spend late nights listening to Sabbath and Nirvana. One was a huge fan.
I moved to Vancouver in 1994 and shortly after setting up there I heard it on the news. Quickly wrote my ex roommate after hearing it.
I write this because I'm listening to the black greatest hits album now.

I was a kid and couldnīt notice his death since I was living in a place where people died every day.

s'ok. Elvis was an important one too. I was only 3 then. Lennon was important too.
