Just put the skirt back in the same bag you brough it home in with the receipt. Go back and nicely tell the clerk that after you got home you noticed the double charge. It must of been the scanner and don't blame anyone. Just ask for the mistake to be corrected. The faster you do this the more they will understand it was their mistake and the faster you will get your money back. End of story

lets say you go shopping, charge a few shirts, go home and when u look at ur receipt later on that night for some reason u notice that they double charged u for an item....
what would you do next.

Just take the receipt back. They should be able to tie the count against the inventory. Should not be a big deal
