I'm bored of all these remakes...

I'm bored and amazed with the crap that constitutes 95% of the horror movies(and comedies) nowadays, and don't get me started on the BS big box-office flicks...a few good ones sneak in every year...'Slumdog' and 'The Wrestler' to name a couple of good recent flicks...but many would rather go see a movie based on comic books...

I'm a super fan of horror movies, But come on now. Are all the guys in Hollywood so damn lazy that they can't come up with an Idea of there own for a movie. Do they have to butcher a movie someone else already made? I'm sick of all the remakes out there that are being done.
Come up with something new that is all your own, and I'll be the first in line, But I'm not gonna see a butcher job remake of a great horror film.

its a stupid idea imo. Jason wasnt the killer in the first, his mother was. in the 2nd he didnt wear a hockey mask, so its a remake of the third one passed as the first one?

Actually, I found parts of many of the movies in this one. I seen parts of or Ideas from Parts #1, #2, #3, #4, #6, and #7 all in this one movie. That is why I say that the writers in Hollywood are nothing but lazy money-hungry trash who wouldn't have an idea of their own if their life depended on it.

i saw a free screening of it last monday. i thought it was enjoyable. i liked it better than the halloween remake and about as much as the TCM remake. it's not really a remake of the original but a "re-imagining" so it takes from parts of the first 3 movies. i kinda liked jason with the bag on his head in this movie more than when he finally put the hockey mask on. and i thought his hair was kind of distracting. there were some good kills and almost every girl got naked.
