Shaved smooth doesn't bother me, but I do like a little bit of well trimmed hair just on top. Defines the area a bit.

Oh, and guys, just a word to the wise. Shave your balls (get over it) and don't have a hairy ass if you have one normally. The girls will thank you for it.

The tactical shaving is appreciated, but it's also a bit silly in my opinion.

"Ah, wonderful. . .you've shaved your bush into the shape of a four leaf clover and dyed your pubes green. Let's go on about how wonderful this is. . ."

Like I said, just silly, but also kinda cute. I suppose guys do have an obligation to appreciate that sort of thing.
