I can see what the poster means. I have meet the parents of girls that I have dated a few times and there is a different kind of tension. Especially from fathers. You can just feel an energy from some of them knowing that you are taking what was once there son and treating him like a woman in social and intimate ways.

I think the whole TS thing is hard on most parents in general. When you factor in men and sex it can be harder for them to deal with.

I dated a girl whose mother was completely in her corner. They even talked about guys and sex, but in general terms and in lighthearted ways. When I meet her, I became her first real boyfriend. I was the first guy that really came around the house. I would stay over night, we'd lock ourselves in her bedroom and she'd stay at my house for days. More than a few times I know her mother heard up, smelled that after sex aroma, and could just see it on our faces that we just got through.

It was obvious that her mother had to find a way to deal with it. I almost felt bad for her. I made sure she knew that I would take care of her child and to protect her and not hurt her. I assured her that I really loved her child. That made a difference.

I certainly wouldn't want to watch them doing porn.
That would probably depend on the parents...

My parents actually told me to go into porn, they thought it would be a great idea. I said I wasn't really interested, didn't have the personality or the patients for it... so then my mom tried talking me into going to beauty school to be a hair stylist, a long list of other way-too stereotypical things. Eventually I was the one who was annoyed. What, can't we drop the stereotypes? There ARE girls who don't work in those fields (there's nothing wrong with those jobs but come on, that's like saying all gay guys work in salons, and all lesbians work as truckers & lumberjacks- who actually still believes that shit in this day & age??).

It was like I just grew 15 heads and said that there was life on mars. The reaction was a blank stare followed by "...uh, you mean there are trans people who do other things for a living?" :keyboard-faceplant:

And maybe its easier to withdraw from life
With all of its misery and wretched lies
If we're dead when tomorrow's gone
The Big Machine will just move on
Still we cling afraid we'll fall
Clinging like the memory which haunts us all
