What is your "REAL" name?
I had some free time tonight and was browsing the boards and this question came to mind. I thought it might make for some provocative conversation... LOL
Who, besides me, actually goes by their "real" name here on HA or in public?
I realize many girls use stage names, but I'm curious as to why?
Is it a way to separate your business and private life? Is it fear of stalkers, of LE, of friends or family finding out about one's private business? Or have you just not done the legal stuff or otherwise don't like your real name?
As for the guys, if you use a stage name, why?

I think most people separate online and real life as two separate worlds, so it's easy to be a faceless individual and/or recreate yourself. I'm the same online as I am in person though.
My screen name here is truncated from what I usually go by and have been for the last 10 years.
