this is the problem with this genre. constant in-fighting. the AVN's are a professionally produced show and as such comes off portraying an industry that takes care of and promotes it's own. having attended as a guest of an up and coming straight porn production company (and award winner), it's clear to me that the TS porn industry has a long way to go. i am a straight male that likes porn of diverse types, including TS, and is secure in his own male sexuality. i like beautiful women and the fact that some have something extra is only interesting. what the TS industry fails to realize is that I am your future. there are thousands like me. we are not the chasers or admirers, we are porn aficionados. you have yet to address our needs and wants. most TS porn is of a very low quality both in production creativity and shear lack of storyline or content. unless the industry addresses it's issues it will never be more that a niche category.
you all need to pull together and create something worthwhile. Seanchai, as a leader in this niche I would think you would act more professionally and not get caught up in the bullshit drama so prevalent in this community. Your TS awards is a great idea as i posted earlier but it's image and value is already dropping drastically by your actions here.
thanks for listening folks. i'm just one person voicing an opinion but i speak for a VERY silent majority. Congrats to the winners and good luck to all.

There are two detractors - both known for being bitter old Queens and having to comment (usually incorrectly). You have a point but I have the choice to either have their comments deleted, or answer their bullshit in the interests of transparency, which I've done for both.
They aren't the industry. They're just a couple of fans who have a gripe as their favourites didn't win, in much the same way people are complaining about the AVN wins (and I'm sure it goes on for more than the tgirl ).
The awards this year, in this small capacity are already a good example of the industry working together. The judges were diverse and respected within the Adult TS community, the members got involved and other websites and companies helped promote this - and have offered to continue to support it.
I don't see how it's image or value has dropped by my defending questions about the integrity of the judges or answering the stupid questions.

a thought, ignore the detractors rather than legitimizing them by being drawn into their realm. if you feel that the awards were just and fair then let the awards stand on their own merit. you defending them seems to show too much personal and emotional involvement. you are the professional here. the first year for anything is difficult. the key is to get thru it. you have done that and hopefully learned ways to improve it for next year. time to move forward. good luck, i'm sure you'll do a fine job because i feel your heart and intentions are in the right place.

PS. seanchai- does this mean I can plaster "2008 Tranny Award Winner" all over my site? Did you find a trophy maker that was willing to attach little gold cocks to their Oscar trophys? it would be so nice to have something to go on my bookshelf!

Your right though, as I mentioned it's just two whiners out of all the winners and the people who have supported them, neither of whom has anything to do with the industry whatsoever and are entirely irrelevant.
Thanks

Excited!!!!
Wow, I think this is the second time in my whole life that I've won something...the first time I was in the 3rd grade and won a raffle for a big basket full of Ty Beanie Babies. lol
Well, the beanies were cool, but I have to say I am totally thrilled this second time around.
I don't wanna sound too corny but...
I wanna say thanku to Grooby and Seanchai for giving me a chance. I would also like to thank Buddy Wood for being an awesome friend and great "Boss". Without him yaw'll probably wouldn't even know my name. And last but not least, thanku to all my fans...you all have been so awesome since this past July when I made my debut on Yum.
Congratulations to all the winners of the Grooby Awards and The AVNs. I'm sorry I missed everything but I was stuck back home sick and snowed in.
Thanks Again Everyone!
Love,
Hazel
