Have to agree Chevy Chase at his best Randy Quaid playing the perfect role for him and Beverly D'Angelo still looking pretty hot. Christmas Vacation in my number one.

"It's a wonderful life". I also really liked "Miracle down under" but can't find it on disc.

Re: Favorite Christmas Movie.
A bit of trivia: Black Christmas was directed by Bob Clark, who also directed A Christmas Story.

Re: Favorite Christmas Movie.
I agree. It's the very best version. I watch it almost every year. TCM has scheduled a version with Sterling Hayden, this year, one of my favorite film noir tough guy; "Carol For Another Christmas", 1964. Ben Gazara also has a part. Probably bad, but I'm intrigued.
I need my once "A Christmas Carol" every holliday. It's almost a matter of superstition for me. This might be it this year.

My favorite one ever is a comedy, the 1982 "Le Père Noël est une ordure" (Santa Claus is a dirty bastard), by Jean Marie Poiré, with a bunch of great actors. They remade it in 1994 under the title "Mixed Nuts", with Steve Martin.

Re: Favorite Christmas Movie.
I probably watched "A Christmas Story" more often...it's just so damn likable...and still funny.
..But I loved the original "It's a Wonderful Life"...Jimmy Stewart is such a fine actor...and I found Donna Reed hot in it.
