You're always nice when people comment on your pics or whatever you post. No complaints here (nor about your pics, in fact).

I think that the response should be commensurate with the comment made to the star in question. For instance, if I were to rave on and on about someone, where I point out specific instances etc. I would appreciate a little more than the token "you're so sweet, luv ya XXX" mess. Alternately, if someone simply tells you that they think you're fantastic and that's it, I think a short response is perfectly acceptable.
Time constraints notwithstanding, I'd appreciate it when someone responds in kind or at least mentions that they may make a greater effort to respond adequately later (and then follow through, lol)

acknowledgment is always nice. i think you are doing just fine. just the fact that you respond shows you appreciate it. sit back and enjoy your celebrity while you can. have a nice weekend.

Damn you, Dino! D:
I agree with Nooksack, basically. One thing I've noticed here is sometimes girls with skip over a guy's compliments and acknowledge another girl's. Understandable since guys here are a dime a dozen, but I wonder if it makes that guy feel invisible to some degree. I don't throw around compliments like candy, but I don't need a response to my comment in particular as long as I get the sense that that girl is appreciative of her praise in general.

When I go to conventions (like Erotica LA) or store signings, the reply is almost always "Thank You". One girl in particular- Sunny Lane- asked me if I jerked off a lot to a particular scene after I commented on it. Normally I'd be a bit embarrassed to admit that (even though it was true obviously), but in this case (and in the setting) I said hell, yeah!
No problems with the TG performers so far either.

I think I generally put about as much time responding as a guy does writing.
After all, after the first 1,000 or so letters that say "You're so hot I want you to cum all over my face, I'll drink all your cum" you kind of run out of things to say.
Or "hey you're really hot, when are you visiting the East coast" .
After a while some of them slip through the cracks because there is very little to distinguish tr74bla@hotmail from funt1mes@yahoo.com, most guys don't even bother leaving a name. So it kind of seems to me like sending an email is just part of the masturbatory fantasy and the reply is inconsequential. It's a different story when someone writes me with a question, or at least something to distinguish them from the other guys.

"Thank you, you are sweet" is all you need to say. Just the fact that you acknowledged the compliment is really all you owe someone who payed you the compliment. We are all adults, or at least supposed to be.
