Kanye crazy yaw, a nigga goes 6 times platinum and dont know how to act. But yeah. it took 5 days (and counting) to act on da Hurricane, but it took da 9-11 incident 15 minutes. Bush gotta get his priorities in line.

K West is rapper. He uses his rights by the first amendment to get his message out. Good for him.
But i don't believe I heard the president ever say 'black are looting' and 'whites are finding'. It is the media and the individual agenda of the reporters and their networks that are bending the facts. It struck me as funny that right after the hurricane, the studio reporters were interviewing the field reporters on how they handled the storm. Once again the media had stopped reporting the story in order to become the story.
And I'm tired of hearing all the comparisons to The Destruction of the Towers. In the case of the towers there wss no warning before the first plane struck. The second plane did not strike for another 30 minutes. And by then the NYFD and NYPD were en route and then stepped up the number of personnel on the way. And the NYPD is damn near to being an army by itself! Why does this not compare? Because it was a localised site. The surrounding area was not flooded. The surrounding area provided access by road and not just by air.
And no amount of simulations and enactments can really get you ready for the real thing. Practicing, without the actual imminent threat and danger will never evoke the fear, panic, and sever emotional reaction that comes with the real thing. Don't believe... ask any cop about the first time someone pulled agun on him, ask any fireman about the first time he had to run into a burning building not knowing if there were actual victims in danger. go ahead, ask. I'll wait.
Now go get in a helicopter, fly low, watch out for power lines, watch out for news helicopters, and try to find people on the rooftops.
For any interested in getting a full grasp and trying to understand the logistics and size of this operation download google earth and then grab the images of the flooded areas. It is unrealistic to think a search and rescue can find and feed all the lost people in a city the size of N'awlins in two days. But hopefully, we will all be better prepared next time.

Mr. West has got my support anytime. simply because he is the only rapper reaching the mainstream these days that actually uses his brain if you like his statement or not (i for my part think he is RIGHT).
for instance a song critisizing the bling bling foolishness of the current hip hop lot (yes i m talking about you, NELLY, musical and intellectual nadir of 30 ys rap history) and the bloodshed and oppression that is connected with the diamond industry is a brave, bold and unique act unseen in todays spiritually, intellectually and i might add musically poor bling bling ringtone rap .
