tat's aren't a dealbreaker for me-some are sexy, depending on where they are...too many definitely not sexy. I just can't believe how trendy they've become for girls...it seems like every college waitress(or server, to be PC) that I work with has one above her ass...it's like a freshman requirement nowadays...

I work with a lot of college coeds at times, and many come to me for my take on the things pervading their young impressionable lives, and I can't tell you the almost startled look that hits them when tattoos are the topic and I ask them to tell me how they were wearing their hair two or three years ago, what their wardrobe was like then, what music they were listening to then, and so on, and then I naturally ask them if they know where they'll be and what they'll be into two or three years down the road in the future -- a time when most go through some profound changes in that constant search of who they are. Their response is generally the one with deer and headlights involved. They generally can't answer that. ...The biggest reward comes when they come back at a later time and thank me for talking to them about it and thus playing a huge role in their decision not to go ahead and get one. The majority tell me that they never considered the things I brought up with them, such as how the tattoo will change over time due to the ink's characteristics and the person's weight gain or loss, or what they're going to do when tattoos simply aren't as vogue.

I know what you mean, Mike, about there ubiquity, and some are quite ornate and well done, but I'd still prefer a woman without any ... the human body is not some scratch pad to doodle on, nor is it part of our history or culture, in my opinion.
