    PS I'm not trying to hate, but on that clip from the Tyra show, I don't see Isis as all that and a bag of chips. She just looks like any "average" good looking TS. There are plenty of girls on here who look just as good or better.

    While she has an amazing and unique look, there's no way Ana is appropriate for that show, which (even though I don't really follow it) has been about high fashion modeling. I think if they have Ana on, it really points to them using TS models as more of a stunt than earnestly.
    Haven't they?!!! With that said im not saying Tyra does /or does not have Tg's on there for ratings only.... but it does play a big part.

    I for one feel that as long as she discusses and portrays Tg's in a positve light & manner ..oppose to "JERRY / MAURY (My opinion ) it does not matter if she gets higher ratings doing so.

    As far as Ana in the same show, in a different segement, they have 4 girls on couch and 1 of them is a Tg,, and it looked like Ana,,, like i said before I could be wrong..lol... in that segment it is not about modeling.

    I think Isis is very pretty ,, has a very unique look. I have never been one to favor conventional beauty, I love a unique face, different style, and flaws can make someone even more beautiful,........Like the saying i created goes............"Perfection is non-exsistant.....there is beauty in every flaw"

    Rosie delpalma a model who modeled for Gaultier, etc.. Was once discribed as a walking Picasso because of her odd features

    I am sure that Dr. Bowers has offered to perform the operation at no cost, but she still needs to meet all of the requirements that any patient who undergoes SRS in the US must have

    It's not so much that I disbelieve that's what everyone is currently thinking. But I would bet she's not so close right now to meeting the guidelines which Dr. Bowers (from what I understand) conforms to. So there's a moderate to long road ahead. And these things are difficult at best to deal with. Add to it the outside pressure on EVERYONE from all the publicity (especially Isis and Dr. Bowers) that it becomes very hard not to get influenced by it, and the deeper you go into it, the harder it is to call it off, even if that's really the "right" thing to do, because of all the build-up.

    It's sort of like a really big wedding: it gets planned for 2 years, there's all this money and "publicity" laid out, everyone is so excited....... that even if the bride and groom realize that perhaps it's not what they really want after all, they don't know how to stop the snowball rolling down the hill.

    I guess what I'm saying is that I can't think of a worse circumstance (aside from the money) for someone to make what is probably the most important decision in their life under. there will be all sorts of pressures heaped on top of the usual pressures, and from what I've seen, just those usual pressures are a huge burden to bear.

    I really didn't think Isis had it either but in many of the shots, she shined. ANTM always has a unique looker or two on each season and Isis fit that role, as well as the French chick who is still in the running.

    Say what you want but Isis is better looking that that French chick or the one from a few seasons ago that ended up robbing some store. She made it until the last 3 or 4.

    About Marci Bowers, I'm just speaking on what I heard from some friends of mine but is it true that he vaginas aren't all that real looking? I've only seen a few surgical vaginas and the ones that I seen that were done in Canada were by far the best.

    I have spoken on this before here, but I dated a girl that had hers done in Canada and it actually felt better than a genetic vagina. Literally the best I ever had. I had others and they were not on that level.

    Modeling is not so much about the looks, its about your talent too. Or how can we explain models like Kate Moss otherwise?

    The only major stipulation that Dr. Bowers strays from the Harry S.
    Benjamin Standards Of Care, is in requiring electrolysis of the genital
    region.

    Other than that, I would feel that Isis has met the RLT, ie. 12 or more
    months living in the targeted gender. Also that she is of a legal age to
    make a decision of this nature.

    Psychotherapy, and HRT are not mandatory, but are advisable

    XII. Genital Surgery

    Eligibility Criteria. These minimum eligibility criteria for various genital
    surgeries equally apply to biologic males and females seeking genital
    surgery. They are:

    Legal age of majority in the patient's nation;

    Usually 12 months of continuous hormonal therapy for those without a
    medical contraindication (see below "Can Surgery Be Provided Without
    Hormones and the Real-life Experience"); 12 months of successful
    continuous full time real-life experience. Periods of returning to the
    original gender may indicate ambivalence about proceeding and generally
    should not be used to fulfill this criterion;

    If required by the mental health professional, regular responsible
    participation in psychotherapy throughout the real life experience at a
    frequency determined jointly by the patient and the mental health
    professional. Psychotherapy per se is not an absolute eligibility criterion
    for surgery;

    Demonstrable knowledge of the cost, required lengths of hospitalizations,
    likely complications, and post-surgical rehabilitation requirements of
    various surgical approaches;

    Awareness of different competent surgeons.
    Readiness Criteria. The readiness criteria include:

    Demonstrable progress in consolidating one’s gender identity;

    Demonstrable progress in dealing with work, family, and interpersonal
    issues resulting in a significantly better state of mental health; this implies
    satisfactory control of problems such as sociopathy, substance abuse,
    psychosis, suicidality, for instance).
