Just got done watching it Dam barbie-Q is fine!! very good show i thought alsojust to bad it was a show about the lovely TG girls being hookers but then againi guess that's what it was about...

Barbie-Q and Juicy were hot. HBO always has the best documentaries. I wish that they would do one from LA. It could either be about TS escorts or TS videos.

I watched it and it was an interesting documentary into some of the hardships of TGs, but I walked away thinking that it portrayed TGs in a bad light since these TGs were street walkers. That is just my 2 cents.

I hit Downtown in the late 1970's. I did a nice girl named Shannon, a Hawaiian pre-op. She is now a post-op and lives in LA and I believe still advertises on frugaljohn.com. She has to be the oldest prostitute that I was with that is still working, I believe she regrets getting the surgery. SHe once said she would have made a lot more money if she'd kept her dick.

I was raised in Hawaii and I remember the Hotel St area from the 60's on. In fact there is another documentary being assembled now about the TS girls of the 60's-80's that I just did an interview for.
Did you notice this the following diferences between the Hawaiian TS's ,and all of his other hooker shows on HBO?
1-They looked better than any of the other "Ho's" he has ever talked to.
2-They never talked about having to support anyone but themselves. No boyfriends that make them work.
3-NO PIMPS
4-They actually could talk and put sentences together. The slang you heard was pigeon english not the rap/hood talk you hear in the states.
5- Yes there were some relly huge and not that good looking girls in the background but the Samoan girls do well there also.
If you ever go over there these ladies are worth a visit.
