Kalina, you should try out the Ultimate Spider-man game or Resident Evil for Gamecube. That will defintely give you a reason to wipe that dust off.
Or better yet, wait till Zelda.

3D games
I'm actually not a fan of 3D games like Doom, Resident Evil, and stuff like that. The graphics give me a big headache for some reason. The only 3D games I can play are driving games and enclosed field stuff like Madden Football. Games that are allow free movement in a huge realm just make me feel nauseous for some reason.

Prince of Persia series
Jak & Daxter series
Metal Gear Solid Series... currently playing MGS3 for the 100th time :P
and when possible some arcade classics like Defender, Shinobi, Samurai Shodown, Golden Axe, etc.
Anyone know is there is a PC version of SEGA's "Alien Storm" ? that really was a COOL game!

its all about the psp.... Liberty City Stories rules.... iv spent hours at a time at work playing this game and than using the web broswer to surf the net.... it dont get no better....
but best game at the moment is ISS Pro Evolution soccer 5.... and the XBOX 360 rocks.....
well untill the ps3 comes out..... :P

I have a unique ability to buy several games, but rarely ever play any of them.
Seriously though, I have purchased quite a few Xbox games in recent years, but can't ever get myself to try them out. Maybe it's fear that they won't be any good. I have however, been playing the new Wrestlemania 21 game. Haven't really been impressed with it, but I do enjoy getting all nostalgic with the Create-A-Wrestler mode and making old-school grapplers.
