The thing, Kurt Russel was awesome in it and the effects where hilarious.

I also find Sesame St rather alarming, especially that giant turkey!

I'm going to go out on a limb here and mention "The Blair Witch Project". It was over hyped, but a few scenes were actually scary. The "documentary attempt" was pretty stupid (were those cameras using nuclear power packs, or something?), but it had a certain indie thing going for it. The scene when they hear the weird noises at night, off in the distance, is probably the creepiest. The ending isn't bad either.

Yes, she shouldn't have gone into the basement, but where else was she going to go?

Some of you will think I'm silly but my favorite is,

    Jaws (the first movie only)

Every time I see it on TV I have to stop and watch it!
