1. You are correct, there is zero TS nightlife in NJ. There isn't even a daylife. You either blend in or you're social roadkill.
2. I have never and will never post on CL. It is fraught with danger on both sides of the fence.

Being as the above may, online dating is really taking off. Indeed if one reads the marriage announcement say of the NYT, there have been a pretty good number of couples, gay and straight that have met online.

Craigslist is scary.
The tgirls all flag each others ads, so no one can keep an ad up for long.
Plus they love to pretend to be many people with many different names. if they are resorting to this, you have to wonder.....
Often the pics do not match the real individual either.
Not a safe place at all, and a heat score with the cops in the USA

Anyone from the Bay area knows CL and knows it well. It is a different world there.

For those using fake pics or other deceptive practices, that tells me they are disingenuous. Same goes for clients. That's why I keep my rates higher and never negotiate. As soon as some dude starts haggling I end the discussion. Non-negotiable is a term to be respected and if they are going to ignore that they might be capable of more underhanded shenanigans.
It's a cagey business on both sides of the fence, that will never change.

CL used to be a nice spot for hooking up. You'd post an ad or respond to one with a couple of pics, it was all so simple then.
I stopped messing with it when this went down:
I posted an ad, got some responses. Two-thirds were full of shit. One chick sent me some pics, I'm like "cool" and sent her my number. THREE weeks later I get this call....at work.
Me: Hello?
Her: Hi.
*pause*
Me: Who is this?
Her: It's ____________
Me: OK. uhhh, where do I know you from?
Her: You posted an ad a while back.
Me: Yeah, almost a month ago.
Her: It was? I don't remember. Yeah, you want to come over now?
Me: I'm at work, that ad was for the weekend, three weekends ago. Can you call me back later? Like say after 5pm?
Her: Oh you're busy? You look hispanic, but you sound black. I'm in Washington Heights, is that a problem?!
Me: Listen. I'd love to talk with you, but I'm at work right now. Can we talk a little later?
Her: You got a big dick. So what are you into?
Me: *click*
She never called back. I was done after that.
