Default Bad experience at the Hong Kong International Airport!

I went to HK last Thursday with my brother to go sightseeing and to go shopping. My flight is around at 5am so I had to leave the house by 3, well basically I didn't go to sleep because I got so excited. Anyway so I get to Hong Kong at around 7 and I went on queue to get stamped at the Immigration. At the window there's this guy who asked me all sorts of questions. Everything was okay until he looked at my passport and he looked at me. He started to mumble something in Chinese, he sounded so rude and then I saw the police coming towards me and they took me to me to their office. I was seated in a really small place with a bunch of Arab and Indian guys. I was so tired and hungry and they made me wait there for 2.5 hours. I approached a Chinese police woman there and asked her if there's anyway I could talk to my brother who's waiting for me at the baggage claim area. The rude bitch told me to sit down and said that all my brother had to do is wait. She was also shouting and gesturing as though I'm gonna start a commotion when all I did was ask politely. So after hours of waiting a police officer finally interviewed me. He was nice and he asked me what I'm doing in HK. I told him I was a tourist and I showed him all my travel documents, my cash and my credit cards. He apologized for the inconvenience that the guy on the immigration window brought me. I asked him if the reason for me being held at the office is because I'm a transsexual and he just kept quiet. It's obvious that I was being discriminated based on my gender. I know most asian ts escorts go work in Hong Kong but it's bad to treat every ts woman that come to their country like that. It took them another 30 minutes just to release me and I spent 3 hours on that place. It was traumatizing. I travel often and I even went to America without encountering any problems and I couldn't believe it would happen to me in HK. It got worst once when I got to the hotel. The people there are so mean they don't know how to use courtesy. And it was like that almost everywhere. I went there expecting to eat good authentic Chinese food but all I've eaten tasted like crap. The only okay ones that I ate are the overpriced food at the Disney and Ocean park themepark. And a store sold me a pair of shoes with the wrong size and they did that on purpose just to get money of of me wtf!!!! I'm never gonna go back there again ever!!!

Hong Kong is shit. I've been there and it's just dull and crap.

I had the exact same experience at LAX. They held me for 4 hrs, every time I told them I had a connection to Hawaii to make, the rude bitch told me to sit down and they'll get to me. I have a visa to live and work in the USA and they put me in a room with Iraqi's, Iranians and Africans (nothing against those people ... but I don't think I fit the same profile).
After 4 hrs the supervisor came out, apologised and sent me on my way. I asked if the original person who held me had something against either British, whites or men ... she wouldn't answer.

It can happen anywhere - international travel, it sucks!

damn that sucks. ive been there many times and was never treated like that. The foods better in taiwan, but HK is ok. But seeing that your filipino (? yes?) that would have alot to do with it there. All the maids in hong kong are filipino. The housekeepers, the nannies, etc, all work for about 2-3 USA dollars a day there, if that, and one day a month all the nannies get off and they all hang out in this park. So im guessing they musta thought you were a maid or nanny and didnt give you any respect based on your race. the chinese defiently look down on flips. Thats just my guess so dont hold me to it ! (Id treat you good though)

I've sucked Vanity, Yasmin, Mia and Saigon...and no, not on the same night.

I really think it's because I'm a ts. There were other filipinos who were in line before me and the guy let them through except for me. I was dressed really decently and I speak very good English. I was being assertive to the guy and I still kept my composure but when he had me sent to the immigration office I wanted to f-ing curse him.

How was he certain you were a TS? Your name or your sex on your ID? Not by looks obviously

I'm sorry to hear that Carla. Thank God I have not encountered any problem like that when I travel and go there. Even LAX was courteous enough to bump me on top of the line due to a connecting flight. I hope I don't ever get to experience discrimination when traveling. The long flights alone sure makes you wanna strangle someone upon landing! lol

I know JFK will hold people who looks middle eastern from experience like they did my friend.

HURDLE #1: If guys would learn to stop over complementing, and not compliment every tranny (or girl) they see and talk to (so a girl would feel it was sincere and that she's special), maybe they'd get somewhere but a dead end! lol

I'm not sure but this actually sounds kind of derogatory having an Indian background myself.
