No, I get what he means entirely. I know a girl fairly well who is a professional dom (as in she does paid sessions but doesn't escort, she also is not trans btw) and she's had friends explain that it doesn't feel right to them to sub in role playing because being black while being called "slave" acts as a turn off, but dom'ing with the same person doesn't act as a sexual turn off because its not hitting that close to home.

Entirely understandable IMHO, everyone has their own unique turn ons/turn offs, as long as they're not hurting anyone who cares what works for them.

What do you think about nazi or holocaust role playing then? What do you think of Mosley's bust in the UK in that genre?

For most situations I agree, BDSM is just a type of sexual role playing, nothing to read into. But there are times where, because of who the participants are or what the participants gut feelings are towards a scene, it may change the dynamics to the point where it just "isn't a turn on"
