I had a brief encounter with Bernie Mac back in the mid nineties.

I was working at a gala where he was the host. A lot of guys give you the high hand when you are just a worker bee but he was very cool.

I noticed an older lady sitting by herself in the hotel lobby and it was obvious she was waiting for someone but didn't want to be a bother. I walked over to her and asked her if I could be of assistance. She said no, but just then Bernie Mac walked over and gave the woman a big hug and whisked her away to be with him. It was his aunt.

Anyone who treats there aunt like that was class in my book.

    He will be missed.

That was some of the worse news I heard when I returned home from partying. That just killed my day when I heard about Bernie. RIP

He was a very nice man. I worked on his show for the entire five years. On Fridays he would break out a margarita machine and have a party for the crew. You guys are right, he will be missed. Thanks for being such a good guy Bernie...

I really feel bad for his family

I caught a bad strain of pneumonia last year and it almost killed me. The doctor said afterwards that if I had just smoked I would have had serious problems. From what I read he had a preexisting condition on his lung which was more than likely a contributing factor.

Shakes me up and I feel bad for his family.
