lol, my parents begged me to "be a tv instead" (as if its a choice) thinking it would be easier for everyone in the long run.
I can honestly say that in my dysfunctional family, no one would really give a shit if someone is trans. There are so many bigger issues that talking about anything like that just makes you look like a drama queen.
And maybe its easier to withdraw from life
With all of its misery and wretched lies

This reminds me of my roomate in college who would always go on my computer when I wasn't around,. When I put in my combination and entered the room I saw him startled when I entered the room, while he was on my computer. I figured something was up.
Later I checked the Windows Media Player history and saw that sure enough he was watching my Tgirl porn,
When another friend of mine was on the computer a day later or so, my roomate remarked, hmm he's got some good stuff on there, strange but good. I knew what he was referencing of course. I of course put a password on my computer which must have sucked for him after that day. Oh well.
