Default Clarification on CA marriage laws.

Ok this is a basic question:

If a couple (where one or more is transgendered) gets married in CA under the new laws, and then travel out of state, is their union recognised by states that do not have GLBT marriage?

So, in the eyes of the law, they would stop being married until they returned to CA?

    That seems pretty fucked.

Having different laws in different states seems stupid in my limey opinion.

The laws are only in effect while living in CA and states like Vermont and Massachusetts. The rest of the country does not recognize such union other than a 'domestic partnership' (where applicable).

So if one or either of the couple played away while outastate, it wouldn't technically be adultery?
