The looks, a future career path that was golden, everything. But he couldnt shake the bottle. When I lived in LA there would be newpaper accounts of his various arrests. If you saw him today you couldnt tell him from some guy living under a bridge. I hate to say it, but Lindsey reminds me more and more of JM Vincent every day.

I hope Lindsay Lohan isn't an alcoholic.... Alcohol is the worst drug in terms of social breakdown, divorce etc. etc. And cigarettes (Lindsay needs to stop smoking) kill 400,000 Americans per year.
No one really knows about her drug intake apart from Lindsay Lohan.
I'm in the Ron Paul camp when it comes to drugs. Drugs should be legalized or decriminalized. And controlled by government. Not gangs! And we should focus on education, treatment and prevention. It should be treated as a health problem. Not a criminal matter.

If Lindsay Lohan is a dipsomaniac (I love that word; it means: a person with an irresistible craving for alcoholic drink) then she needs to get treatment, serious and ongoing treatment.
I'm sure she's fully aware of the downside of excessive alcohol consumption.
But, too, she's in a different position than the vast majority of us. She's famous. She's rich. Meaning she gets coddled.
She's a Hollywood star.
Lindsay Lohan can indulge and gratify her every whim. Most people can't do that.
I like what the American writer James Ellroy said: people flock to Hollywood in search of cheap gratification. He was born and raised in L.A.
