Mozilla attempting to set world record for downloads in 24h

Mozilla is attemping to set the Guinness World Record for most downloads in a 24 hour period with the official Firefox 3.0 point release.
I meant to post this a few days ago and forgot (a cursory search turned up no similar results). The download is meant to begin today at 10:00AM PST, but naturally it's not up even an hour and a half later. The servers are getting hammered to death right now so the main page will barely load at all right now.
Honestly, I saw this coming a mile away. Any big event happenning online where downloads or streaming is involved never goes smoothly lol. There are mirrors floating around, but they don't count toward the record (has to be directly from Mozilla) and I'm leary that they're still just release candidates (RC3) because apparently they're identical.
Anyway, I hear the memory consumption is reduced (when Firefox eats up 553MB of RAM as opposed to the 368MB of a game, something wrong lol) so that's certainly welcome.
Oh, and for those who don't know, if any extensions don't work natively with 3.0 you can force them to work with the Nightly Tester Tools extension.

No problem.
It seems the real 3.0 is 7.8MB, whereas RC3 is 7.15MB. The pages loaded a quick second then poof! Screw it, I'll wait until later.
EDIT: Maybe not, I guess they just didn't change the RC3 welcome page to 3.0 final despite the file size of RC3 and 3.0 being exactly the same down to the last byte. Hm, whatever heh.

This looks weird on my Macbook Pro (the dark grey). It's really fast so I guess that evens things out.
I REALLY love the new history manager. Now you can bulk delete sites from your history, without wiping away all your history. This comes more useful than one knows (snooping mate, nosey co-worker, family member etc).

I just downloaded the new Firefox. I guess I'm going to have to get used to the grey. It almost looks like the Safari browser.
What I don't like about it already is that I can't bookmark pages in folders I created. I have to go through the trouble of bookmarking them in the "unorganized folder" and then drag them from the "unorganized folder" to the folder of my choice.
