Thread: Star Tattoo

    Default Star Tattoo

I was looking through the forums and notices something in a few ladies. There is a decent sized star tattoo on their shoulder. Is there a meaning behind this?

Stars have been a popular tattoo for ages. In meritime folk-lore they were a good omen for sailors. As long as they could see the stars at night, they could navigate. When the clouds covered the stars it was nearly impossible for them to figure out their course. Sailors began getting them tattooed on themselves as early as the 17th century for good luck so the star is basically a common tattoo that's been passed down through the ages....

I'm gonna just guess, but i'll say it's nothing more complicated then it's just trendy in Brazil.
