It's strange how these things work in the mind, here's once again my take on it using my Goddess Patricia Bysmark for example:
Would I want to have sex with Patricia Bysmark? Hell Yes!
Would I love to suck the dick of Patricia Bysmark? No!
Would I love to have my dick sucked by Patricia Bysmark? Yes!
Would I love to get penetrated by Patricia Bysmark? No!
Would I love to penetrate Patricia Bysmark? Yes!
Would I love to lick Patricia Bysmark's ass? Hell Yes!

Its not a correct statement. I have been watching straight porn for years and just started producing TS porn. Gay porn does not interests me in any form even though it is one of the highest selling niches. So, I think that is a growing stereotype that str8 guys go into TS porn as a gateway to gay porn. I think it is normal for a guy who frequents TS girls to eventually question his sexuality once out of confusion. But Tgirls are where its at for most guys and thats all it is.

Hello, I am new to this site, have spent some time lurking and maybe this is a good topic for my first post.
First of all, who CARES if transsexual porn is a gateway to gay porn? What matters is what turns you on. Second, don't be afraid of yourself or what you (have come to) fancy.
That said, I consider myself straight - or as I like to say, in my 34 years on this planet, there hasn't been a single man I have felt myself (sexually) attracted to. But even if that happened someday... big f***ing deal! I refuse to let homophobic morals dictate me what/who I should get turned on by.
I mostly watch/look at Lesbian porn, for me it's just a lot more pleasant to look at than guy-on-girl. Maybe because I don't care to see some guy's naked dick. So then, you might ask, how come I like Transsexual porn? Because, and I really hope this offends nobody, a Transsexual (or a Shemale) to me is not male in the classical sense. Even if she has a sizeable dick, to me she is decidedly more woman than man. Therefore, Transsexual porn is not gay porn to me and has never made me fancy actual guy-on-guy porn. But even if it did someday... like I said, who cares?
I must admit though that although girls who have had nothing done down there can be just simply gorgeous, I am even more fascinated with post-op transsexuals. I cannot tell you why that is, but there is just something uniquely intriguing about girls who have "gone all the way".
anyways, looking forward to participating in great discussions on this board...

My opinion is nobody on this whole god damn forum has any right to call someone gay or to categorize someone. To call someone gay on this forum is like a alcoholic calling someone a crackhead druggie. The poison they choose is different but they are both into poison...
Did that make any sense at all?

Yep.
Back in my dope fiend days it always amazed me there was a hierarchy of drug users. Coke and pot/psychedelic users looked down on all other drug users, huffers and methheads were the bottom of the barrel.
Get a little dry spell in the weed and coke supply and those folks got a lot less picky about what got 'em high and who they hung around with.
BTW,regarding the subject,of course TS porn is the gateway to homosexuality. If you're on this board asking questions about it you're doomed to a lifetime of antiquing and "Sex In The City" reruns.

But to answer the OP:
Depends on the viewer's sexual orientation.
If you are gay, then you may use TS porn and TS women to satisfy your gay sexuality without confronting it. TS escorts and porn merchants thrive on this, as it is a basis of their business.
If you are not gay, then looking at TS porn will not make you gay, nor will making love to a TS woman (or for that matter any woman.)
I do enjoy TS porn but I have to remove all the parts or images showing men being penetrated, as this actually makes me physically nauseous and will certainly kiss goodbye to any sexual excitement I may be experiencing. From this point of view GG porn is a much safer bet for me and I tend to move between TS porn and GG porn.
But if you are a man, and you get turned on by pictures of men being penetrated by TS models, obsess about cocks or begin fantasising about being penetrated yourself, then you might as well admit reality, accept your sexual orientation and just move on to gay porn. Why live in denial?
So for gay men, TS porn may well be a gateway.

dearest forum-clowns: too much shemale porn is a gateway to NOT have real life sex in the first place.

As usual, Coroner, an intelligent approach. However the distinction is more complex than simple appearance. It has to accommodate behaviour as well, and furthermore the desired behaviour, or fantasy of the viewer if we are talking about porn. We cannot alter the fact that the penis is a male member, as Celeste pointed out, and this throws a spanner in the works.
In fact a transsexual women (talking about pre-op here) is ambivalent, a quasi-intersexual state, possessing the feminine qualities of a woman in her breasts, buttocks and softened features and the masculine power of a man, invested in her penis. This being the case a TS woman has the power to be either male or female. She can give as well as receive. Therefore how she is behaving has to be taken into account.
When a TS woman is using her penis to penetrate a man, she has fully transformed herself into a male; and when she is receiving cock she is almost completely female, in fact, to be honest, completely so in every respect other than the issue of the vagina. In the act of sex itself it is actually quite tricky for the man so see or be aware of her penis at all, and many girls prefer a position that makes it even more difficult. If you are penetrating a TS woman anally, leaning over her in missionary or from behind and feeling her breasts as you kiss with tongue, is is quite impossible to feel a difference between this and fucking a GG anally in the same way, unless you go for the reach-around (and don't be surprised if you find your hand being removed if you do; the woman is totally focussed on being a woman, and may not take kindly to being reminded about the pecker.) There's nothing wrong with the sensitivity of my dick, but I have never been able to feel a difference between the two types of rectum. And both types of mouths feel the same too.
Unquestionably therefore, making love to a TS woman can fit the category of straight sex.
However, unpopular though this view is here, when a man is penetrated anally, that man is indulging in gay sex. When a man sucks a cock, that man is indulging in gay sex. It does not matter whether the penetration is by a TS woman using her penis, a TS woman using a strap-on or a natal or formerly transsexual woman using a strap-on, because in all these cases the woman is playing the role of a man to satisfy her partner's desire for gay sex, or her own.
We must remember that just as a man may wish to explore his feminine side, so a woman may wish to explore her masculine side, and either partner may simply be accommodating the other because they love each other; but whatever the reasons, in this case the actual sex itself is still homosexual, though the relationship may not be.
The point is that to make a sensible definition of sexual orientation when confronted with the phenomenon of transsexual women, we have to look beyond simple physical appearance and include behaviour.
All that applies as much to porn as to real life. So TS porn has the unusual quality of being either straight or gay, depending on what is being depicted.
Therefore, with regard to TS porn, men who are gay, whether in denial or not, will gravitate towards porn that concentrates on dicks and men being penetrated or dominated, while more straight men will seek porn that shows the exact opposite, the TS looking and behaving in as feminine and submissive a way as possible.
So if a man finds that he is repeatedly returning to images of other men being sexually dominated by women, then he might as well seek out gay porn, since that is what the fantasy that he is satisfying through porn is. And that is the sense in which TS porn is a gateway to gay porn.
