I know what it is like to suffer from depression. I never imagined you being someone that suffers from depression because you seem to have a very outgoing and bubbly personality. Try to think of happy thoughts when you get depressed. When I'm depressed I remind myself that the depression is going to pass soon or later.

You see, Vegas itself has sort of evolved into a different beast, full of more extremes, of Cirque de Soleil dancers, Burlesque showgirls as dealers, strippers doing their thing, the AVN Convention being placed there and Playboy having it's own club. That whole "showgirl" thing is not remotely in the spotlight anymore and I had completely forgotten it even existed (my bad).
Now, I'm not knocking what they do (since it's great someone keeps up the tradition - it's very classy, totally Sinatra-era), and they've just taken that thing to a further extreme, with the makeup, so it does add up to me now.
Do you see where I'm coming from here?
And, I'm quite sure virtually no kid here who is 21 will have a clue about the "Vegas Showgirl" look except having a wild guess that it's the same as the "Pussycat Dolls" (obviously completely off), so don't expect me to be the last person wondering this question, at one time or another (even though I do get it now).
Thanks everyone for answering my question here!

seems that this line comes up a lot. can you tell if a ts is a girl or not? my answer is most times yes but there are some girls you can't tell if there gg or ts. this is most common in the asians and latinas. with the latinas it's partly do to the saying that with latina girls you can't tell if they're 14 or 40. but also sometimes TSs give off a negative vibe in the clubs like they don't smile or relax which makes them stand out maybe this is out fear of prejudice. there have been times when i'm not sure if a girl is ts or gg. and there are passable black girls on this board. i love these casual pictures
and that's why the cubs will never win the series

I have to ask what would be the show in seeing a bunch of girls looking like they just walked off the street? That would not be much of a show.
The fact is that what these girls do on stage has little if anything to do with what guys find attractive. The guys that date the girls represent a tiny fraction of the people that attend these shows. Most of the people that attend and give financial support to these shows are people that want to see drag, they want to see glamour, they want to see all of the extras that you don't see in everyday life.
It is a show. It is a production. Its about the 'wow factor'. Where would a wow factor come to play if they just looked like everyday girls?
You have to bring some art to the stage. Looking like just any old regular girl will not get a girl booked, tipped or cheered for. The top most respected girls in the drag game all are serious painters. People are paying them to see that. You can see regular natural looking girls in the grocery store or at the fast food joint. The stage is an escape. The girls that don't paint aren't taken all that serious by those that support drag nor by their counterparts.
It has nothing to do with what a guy finds attractive. Very few girls are being the person that they are off stage when they perform. The person on that stage rarely resembles the person who they are the rest of the week. They don't take the stage to attract guys. Most guys who only get off on what a girl looks like on stage is very often disappointed because he got caught up in some fantasy.
I just see the hypocrisy in a guy on a porn board telling a girl that she is harming TS women by doing shows. I'm sure more girls feel harmed by the hypersexual stereotypes that so many people have of TS women due to the prominence of TS related porn and all of the focusing and value placed on their genitals as if that is all they are good for is being a girl with this magical and mysterious dick.
