Can someone explain to me why girls do the 'showgirl' look?

Ok, this is an honest question, but if a girl is aiming to look like the woman she is, why some of you put on the 'showgirl' look, which no GG on the planet would do? You know, the pasty white over-the-top makeup, which, while femme, screams out "drag queen" and "I was a man", not "I am a woman"?

Here's an example (ignore the thug, it IS a good pic of Erica looking like the woman she is) versus the total "drag queen" look at the bottom.

And, this really is an honest question. I simply never get why women who have made such an incredible effort in becoming who they are, choose to put on a look which says the exact opposite.

Maybe someone can explain?

Heh, most of the GG's over in my neck of the woods look like picture #2.....actually they use more than she does.

Comapred to them, #2 has the natural look

Umm thats because in the 2nd pic she is doing a "drag show" therefore she has on heavy makeup for the show............Alot of ts's still entertain in Gay clubs and Erica is one of the most well known Female Impersonators *sp* in our business......................Hence why the money in her hands she is at work and is dressed accordingly.

I agree. Some girls wear heavy / stage makeup because they are performers. Like in the photos above, they don't do it off stage. Same with escorts, some will wear heavy makeup when they are "working."

And some girls do it because they are just learning and go a bit overboard. Jessica has a t-questioning friend who I think shovels on foundation with a trowel...

Personally I'm lazy, all I wear is a little eyeliner and mascara and lipstick. If I'm going someplace fancy at night I'll add some eyeshadow and powder. Very rarely foundation and/or blush.

And Jessica seldom wears anything beyond lipstick - she looks like any other college girl.

But part of the fun of being a girl is playing with make-up.

Ummm duhhhhhhhhhh The second pic is Erica at a show. Erica is a former Miss Gay USofA, Miss Universal ShowQueen, Miss Continental, Miss EOY, Miss International Queen, and the list goes on. She is a DRAG performer. Thats why she gets paid the big bucks, and thats why many other transsexual shows girls like myself get paid the MONEY darling!

Because you are "impersonating" you are supposed to show how you "paint" your face to look female. I can tell you that is not a good pic and if you saw Erica in person while she is 'painted' up she would mesmorize you. It doesn't look like that in person.

yeah, there is a definite difference in what we choose to wear in certain situations...this is what most people on a daily basis see when they see me, it's my normal casual bummy clothes, jeans and tanks/tees is my normal if I am not working, and if I have to work, I look like my avatar...
