Why would anyone have a problem with a one-world government? Nationalism is right up there with Religion in the "we're different, let's start a war" category.
I'm all for a one world gov't provided 1) the Bill of Rights is an integral part of it, 2) the gov't is proportionally representative and elected democratically, and 3) the markets are free and open (i.e. no socialism/communism/etc...)

Because it is not our government. The only people it would benefit is American global companies. And exactly how would one central government control the world? You can't even keep a lid on Iraq and Afghanistan.

If there is going to be one government, my advice is you start learning Chinese champ.

You can say that a one world government is bull shit only because of how it is coming about. It will not come with the sounding of trumpets, bombs going off, or soldiers marching. It will come with the purchasing of stock by corporations. Until at some point one corporation or investment company owns a piece of every business and dominates every industry. The "world government" will just be the board of directors of that company and the new royal family will be the chairman of that board and his heirs.

If I was to bet on which companies will be able to do that in the future I would bet on an Oil company like BP or perhaps the Saudi state ran oil company, perhaps some manufacturing concern in China, or even the USA's very own microsoft.

We have already seen a glimpse of what that would be like.... company towns where the only store is owned by the company. If you want a hose, car, food, anything you get it from the company. The company pays you so little that you can only get these things on credit. Then what they pay you is just enough to pay off part of the loan. Basically a legal form of slavery.

Provided our great Russian friends do not decide to use their new RS-24 MIRV'd ICBM's on us that may well happen some day.

Well then, to clarify my point, why do you suppose we as the 'rest of the world' would want to live under a government based on American ideals?

Your government is happy to quash sexual freedoms in the name of religion. Here in Australia we put 'blokes in a dress' up on a pedestel.

I'm in the military and openly in a relationship with a transgender. There is no 'don't tell' policy here. In any case I have my brothers-in-arms respect as I am a comsumate professional. What or who I do after work is my business as long as it dosen't impact on the ADF's reputation.
