I am taking the shots and the pills now. But I started with the pills. My hormone therapist was getting my dosage higher and higher gradually. Now i'm in 5 mg premarin, 200 spiro, once a week injectable estrogen which is "perlutal" but I am planning to switch it to delestrogen.
I feel so much better with the higher dosage cause it makes me more sane. It balances my hormones but of course there is still the bitchy crazy psychopath side to it. Haahaha! But I have to say I feel more peaceful with myself.
I am planning to get orchi too. But I don't know if it's going to affect my SRS later on. Because they said that getting it done all at the same time would benefit you of having a more deeper vagina hole than getting your orchi and later on they will have not much skin to use for the pussy hole!
Is that true girls? or should I just get it done so i can lower my hormone intake. I'm getting to be cuckoo if I don't lower it down.

I wish I could afford a real endo instead of a GP at a low-income clinic but that's what I've got.
Last year, I had my blood checked, they didn't look at prolactin or estrogen. But when I picked up my results, the nurse looked worried. My serum testosterone was 947ng/mL, which is on the high end for a man! She asked me if I was taking testosterone supplements and I said "no". I want to go see what my other results were because he never told me. The only reason I picked this one up was because it had an HIV test on it (which was negative, yay!). Maybe it was just a testing fluke...
I heard that Spiro doesn't effect serum testosterone, just the receptors, or something like that. So why do they test it then? I need some clarification from my doctor. Gah, orchi would make things so much more straightforward!

If you get an orchi you run into the same problem, with the added concern of scar tissue. You don't want them to do an orchi the same way they do for nontrans testes cancer patients, talk to your srs surgeon about how it should be done (if you're having it done), or better yet- have an srs surgeon do the orchi themselves to lower your risks.
Also, don't have the sack tissue cut off, or alot of srs surgeons won't even touch you (even in Thailand, Dr Supporns website states this).
And maybe its easier to withdraw from life
With all of its misery and wretched lies
If we're dead when tomorrow's gone
The Big Machine will just move on
Still we cling afraid we'll fall
Clinging like the memory which haunts us all

Just a Boyfriends perspective
Hi Zoe,
I have been giving my girlfriend shots for the last two years, and imho they are much better than taking pills. I only have to give her and injection once every two weeks, so she no longer has to take pills every day. That is a big plus as far as taking hormones is considered.
As far as the bruising goes, if it is done right there is none at all. The best place to get and injection is just above the buttox in the area where the gluteous meets the back. There is not much pain either (at least that's what she tells me) It works best if you have someone do it for you, so if you don't have someone that you trust you can always go to a clinic and get it done. Once they get to know you there, they will be happy to do it on a regular basis.
One last thing. I broke up with my girlfriend once about a year and a half ago. She tried to give herself shots in the same place that I usually do it for her. She never could get it just right because she could not see what she was doing. When we finally got back together, her backside was pretty bruised up and it took over a month for all of the brusing to go away. So, get someone to do it for you and I think you will like the fact that you will not have to take pills anymore.
An amature does it till they get it right,
A professional does it till they can't get it wrong.

Ok so first things first...
Pills are sooooooo old school and they are horrible on the liver.
Shots take you on a emotional roller coaster and are very unreliable.
I do surgically implanted pellots that are time released. I do 10 pellots, 1 testosterone pellot and a pink panther shot which is a booster for the skin, hips, ass, boobs etc... I do that every 4 months.
Easy breeze beautiful cover girl
Dr. John Odea in Los Angeles CA (310) 481-2219 http://www.hamiltonlove.com/
My mood is wayyyyyy better, I have seen a tremendius physical change, my boobs have been alot softer and seem to be growing still LOL... But without the testosterone pellot I am limp as a noodle.
I have been seeing Dr. Odea for a year now and he is amaizing. If you do not live in LA and have to fly in, he is right by the airport. It is worth every penny. Alot more expensive but alot better for your physical and mental health. Besides these puppies are time released, so like I said - EVERY 4 MONTHS
The incision is probably only 1/4 " wide and it is practically painless. It is done right at the fold of your ass and thigh called the " Vegas Cut " due to the fact that alot of strippers get them there for asthetic reasons. I am a hypocondriact and the lil spot looks like a large mole to me.
It is a great new way of getting your hormones. You all should check into it.
