I mean, not sex in general but the notion of transsexuals being sexually inclined in general?

This is not a finger pointing or bashing post, but just an outside observer i've noticed through literature, film, and conversations that nearly 80% of the conversations about transsexualism revolve around sex, nudity, sensuality, body enhancement (for the purposes of sex), etc...etc...etc...

I'm just saying surely there has to be something deeper, right?


I mean damn near all the chat rooms are all focused about escoring and the like. All the webpages for men to meet transexuals are sexually charged.

I mean, even noting from what i've read about the various parties and gatherings...it all seems overly sexually charged. Granted any party/club has the underlying tone of sexual tension going on (i.e. dancing close, slick talk, etc.) but it seems like going to a transsexual party or club with the intent on meeting "wifey" or making a general new friend is like an oddity. Why?

You mentioned the whole escorting thing. One of the ways I worked my way through the undergraduate portion of my college education was by "providing a safe work environment" (quote from PAYBACK) for a number of women who escorted (mostly GGs). While I was always treated very well due to the value of the service that I provided, I can tell you that almost anyone involved in escorting (male, TG, GG, etc.) is usually obsessed with money and with themselves in general. Even if they don't start out that way, they almost always end up that way. Being an escort is not easy, and it eventually takes its toll. It's like being addicted to gambling - you spend your whole life chasing the next score, but almost always wind up with nothing in the end.

As with anything, there are always some exceptions. Of the more than dozen women that I worked with on a regular basis, one of them managed to make it out without becoming spiritually sundered.

It's been said many times before, but what you see here and on similar sites, at parties like Allanah's, and with TS escorts is only a subset of transsexuality. The most visible, certainly, and charged more and more these days with TV and movie references (CSI, Ally McBeal, I Want a Famous Face (wasn't Gia, excuse the expression, just darling in that?), Nip/Tuck, and so many more), but still only a subset, which is inherently sexually charged. Most transsexuals live normal lives and you probably wouldn't know that they are transsexuals.

Another way of putting it: coming to sites like this, parties like that, or seeing escorts is inherently sexual in nature (though to varying degrees depending on the person and the site/party). What I love about HA is that, as a community, we often engage in other topics, often having no connection to transsexuality at all (the latest Star Wars movie, cars and global warming) or at least very different aspects of the "scene."
