The thing I never understood about the Golden Globes is how many of the movies themselves that are nominated, or the actors/actresses nominated are from movies that have not been released when the nominations were announced.

no Golden Globes always nominate movies that haven't even hit the theaters yet, which I can understand, the actors and writers will always get a copy 1st, sometimes we get lucky and one of them gets high and leaks it to the public (aka American gangster) but still nominate quality, not crap

Just got back from this. I was expecting a very funny movie after seeing the trailer and the talent that was involved. Sadly it was big turkey. A handful of OK joes litterted throughout, but by the last 1/2 hour I was not only ready to leave but kind of embarrassed to be in the theater.
