Default Jordana/1.8.7 update - 5th album Numerology finished

something different for a change, here's some stuff jordana posted on a dnb message board i post at, since most of you prolly never heard of her she used to be known as 1.8.7. before her transition, was one of the first and best drum'n'bass producers in the us and put out the seminal when worlds collide album under that moniker, she still produces and started singing as well, has a lovely voice, vheck out the last two tunes below for proof..the first six tunes are all dnb, the last two pop, check them out, just don't ask if she escorts

A lot of people here (judging from my inbox and some of the messages i've seen posted) have been wondering what i've been up to and the status of my album Numerology. This message is to update anyone interested in the goings on in my life and maybe you can help give me some information on where to go from here.

Basically Numerology is done. I had the release of it fall through when a label recently changed hands. Not wanting to leave fans of my music behind I decided to take a deep breath and a good look at the industry before proceeding. For that reason Numerology does not currently have a release date because it does not currently have a label.

As for the album itself you can hear the following demos of tunes from it via my website:

Street Crewsade feat. Hip Hop group Dread Event, MC Collaborator and myself
    http://www.jordana.org/tracks/Street_Crewsade.mp3
Step It Up Pon Dem feat. Ras Charmer
    http://www.jordana.org/tracks/StepItUpPonDem.mp3
    Chemistry (DnB Mix)
    http://www.jordana.org/tracks/JordanaChemistry.mp3
    The Boo Tune
    http://www.jordana.org/tracks/BoosTune.mp3
    Without A Trace
    http://www.jordana.org/tracks/WATdem.mp3
    Jump n Wind (short clip)
    http://www.jordana.org/tracks/JumpNWindClip.mp3

And since I've given away low-fi versions of half the album and not trying to give away the whole album online I'll have to stop there

Still looking to release Numerology this year but my pop album has top priorit. For this album I am only doing the singing, songwriting and co-production on some songs. Most of it is is being worked on by other producers (we're recording it in LA this fall with one of the Sugarbabes and Faithless producers.)

If that interests you have a listen to the following examples as they are along the lines of some of the material on the pop album even though they are just low quality demos.

    and

I also am going to be working with my band (i'm the singer for The Backups).

Other than that it is very likely this will likely be popping up on TV and maybe in an indie film I am auditioning for sometime this year or next if my casting agent is to be believed. We'll see.

As a result over the next year www.jordana.org is going to undergo some changes and be redirected to a general interest fansite run by a US TV network and studio while jordanamusic.com will remain the place to go to hear new music from me.

So anyone who has been left hanging for new stuff I apologise, it hasn't been a lack of trying. Like I said if you know anyone who is interested in Numerology PM me or email me. I want to get this album out so i can play the US cities I had meant to play during the cities tour before it abuptly ended. (I see you Chicago. )

    Anyway,
Thanks for your support. Best wishes,
    Jordana

First of all let me say that you look amazing!
    Your transformation is complete!
I am a budding house producer in the SF area and have followed your career somewhat.
    I remember you as 1.8.7.
I also remember when you told everyone about your transition and all that you were put through by some of your peers.
It must be so hard to transition is such a public way.
My heart goes out to you because I know your one strong woman.
I wish you luck in your future endeavors and hope you post on this forum again.

    God bless

    Stunning pictures. Talented musician.

This is what I was saying...the world is changing.

Anybody remember when Walter Carlos became Wendy Carlos?
    Switched on Bach, Clockwork Orange...

    Best of luck to you!
